Shower & Bathtub Plumbing Services

From outdated fixtures to luxury upgrades, GPS Plumbing provides expert plumbing solutions for your shower and tub—including installations, replacements, remodel plumbing, and diagnostics. We work with all major brands and are certified installers for Moen®, Kohler®, and Delta®.

We perform plumbing for bathroom remodels and fixture upgrades. We do not handle tile, drywall, or paint—but we work directly with your contractor or our design partners at Tappan Interiors.

Shower Faucet, Trim & Spray System Installation

A new trim kit can refresh the entire look of your shower—but it has to fit right. We install and replace:

  • Brand-matched trim kits (Delta®, Moen®, Kohler®, etc.)
  • Shower handles, escutcheons, and diverters
  • Single or dual-handle faucet trim kits
  • Volume controls and pressure-balancing systems
  • Leak-proof trim with the correct seals and spacing

The shower handle and trim plate must match the brand of the valve inside the wall—but showerheads can be any brand you prefer. You choose the style, and we’ll make sure it all works together.

Shower Cartridge Replacement

Low water pressure? Sudden bursts of hot or cold? That could mean a failing cartridge or valve behind your shower wall—and we can help with both. We service and replace:

  • Moen® (Posi-Temp™, Moentrol™, ExactTemp™)
  • Delta® (MultiChoice® Universal Valves)
  • Kohler®, Pfister®, American Standard®, and more
  • Outdated, corroded, or non-code-compliant valve bodies

Not sure what you have? We’ll identify your brand and model and install the correct replacement part. We’re also certified installers for Moen®, Kohler®, and Delta®.

Common signs you need a new cartridge

The cartridge is the removable internal part inside the valve. It regulates your hot and cold water mix and controls flow to the showerhead.

Cartridge replacement is non-invasive and can usually be completed without opening the wall.

  • Only cold or only hot water from the shower
  • No water at all from the showerhead
  • Inconsistent temperature (cold bursts or scalding water)
  • Poor water pressure isolated to the shower

We carry and install OEM cartridges for all major brands and will ensure your new part is a perfect match for your system.

Shower Valve Replacement

The shower valve is the main body located behind your shower wall. It’s responsible for controlling water flow and mixing hot and cold water. Replacing the valve is usually necessary in the following situations:

  • During a remodel, before tile or drywall goes up
  • When the valve body is leaking inside the wall
  • If the valve is corroded, outdated, or fails to meet code

Valve replacement is more invasive and typically involves wall access—so we often recommend it during planned remodels.

Tub Spout & Bathtub Plumbing

Got a leaking tub spout or replacing your bathtub as part of a remodel? GPS Plumbing handles the plumbing side with clean, professional work that lasts. We provide:

  • Tub spout replacement (slip-on or threaded)
  • Bathtub installation during remodels or fixture upgrades
  • Overflow and drain connections
  • Fixture relocation and plumbing reroutes

We do not install tile or surrounds—but we’ll coordinate with your contractor to ensure plumbing is completed to code.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which brands do you work with?

We service all major brands including Pfister® and American Standard,® and we’re certified installers for Moen®, Delta®, and Kohler®. If you’re unsure which cartridge or trim you need, we’ll identify the right fit for your system.

Do I have to replace the valve to upgrade the trim?

Not always. Many modern trim kits do require a matching valve, and we’ll confirm compatibility before your install.

What’s the difference between a valve and a cartridge?

The valve is the part hidden behind the wall that controls your water flow and temperature. The cartridge plugs into the valve and must match the same brand and model to work properly. Cartridges wear out over time and can usually be replaced without opening the wall.

Can you replace my bathtub?

Yes. We install freestanding and drop-in tubs during remodels or fixture upgrades. We handle the plumbing connections, drains, and valves. We do not remove tile or handle finishing work.

Can you move my tub or shower plumbing during a remodel?

Yes! We reroute water lines, replace valves, and make sure everything is ready for your new layout.
